M&M's: Tan Color

I discovered something out this summer while infactuated with Sporcle on my iPhone.  M&M's...wait for it...had a tan color.  

The tan M&M in the top right corner.
Tan you believe it?

    And, there was no red because red dye was carcinogenic. This was in the 80s.
